Hi David, Ron, all,

just a very short reply - more to come later...

Hi Ron, :-)

I took the liberty of posting my answer to the Design mailing list as
well, as we want to keep all the guys in the loop about this. ;-)

Thanks!
Indeed it is important to share your work with this group as you already did before.

OK, David, I have never worked with a Wiki before, but I got pages set up
for banner and avatar/icon proposals.

This is the right approach in my eyes - that's the place we should collect and work on all the proposals, drafts and iterations of our designs and artwork.

We might discuss the structure later, but the wiki is definitely the way to go.

My proposal would be to upload all your files there, if that's OK with
you, and then give me a heads-up here on the list and also by off-list
mail (to make sure I see your post - I don't always follow the Design
list closely).

I'll definitely post all your work on the libreoffice.org site,

Please don't promise something you can't hold.

as I
mentioned before, but would just like to see a green light from
Christoph and the guys, beforehand, in case any slight alterations are
requested. If they don't respond after a few days then I'll take it as
a go.

Sorry, this is not the way it should go.

The design team has to decide about the places where our artwork and design should be presented.

I'm definitely against uploading all our proposals and drafts to the website, where only finally approved graphics should be presented for download.

We want to present the community in a mature and professional way, providing graphical resources with a high quality and consistent branding.

Therefore every artwork to be uploaded to the website should have a "go" from this team.

Our numerically main resource will be at the wiki, containing all proposals, drafts and great artwork not following the present branding (but perhaps the basis for the next branding iteration).

We definitely need a structure for these resources, so we can link from the website to this area.

David, you probably want to wait for a specific comment by Christoph and Ivan, but please don't consider no reply - especially in days, where we have to find our way through several hundred mails per day - as approval of your ideas.

Best regards

Bernhard
