That's helpful - my bug search was rather too superficial, and I shouldn't have relied on Apple
terminology. Pretty harmless problem once you know about it.

(I might have another go at looking at the multitude of bugs on duplex printing - my big problem
with Libreoffice - but if I can't make sense of them I might start a new thread here, seeing
everyone is so helpful.)

Thanks, I've learnt something new about OSX! Although I didn't actually notice the problem in
4.4, perhaps I or the installer did something differently. I think this could merit a mention
in the README for the installer, which people might pick up, at least after their original
install went wrong.

There was a fix for the later 4.x version of LibreOffice.

See bug 93331 in the LibreOffice bugtracker for a report on the problems
encountered with 5.x installation sets.
