Good point. I do miss that now& then. It's "just" a multi-object
clipboard.
I don't care whether it looks like MS's implementation or not; it's the
feature that's important. OTOH not a lot of people use it other than
technical writers.

Maybe something that would work as an extension.



As a work around you may find ClipCube helpful until such time, and if 
LbreOffice implements a "spike feature."  It is a standalone program 
that will work as a "spike" and it is free to use.  Google ClipCube for 
a download location.

If you are using Gnome (and Linux) you can use Pastie, it stores many
clips for repasting.
