Does anyone know if it is possible to purchase a 'real' SSL

I would be willing to contribute some money directly towards fixing this issue.

Why not just get a free one from StartSSL?

Why do people talk, but don't bother to actually check the
certificate, and read what was written already?

It /is/ already using one from StartSSL - it is a StartCom Class 2 certificate.

So please check your facts.

Some of the people on this list whop apparently represent TDF and LibO seem to have real attitude problems sometimes.

I didn't make any claim, so have no facts to che3ck. Someone complained about *one* of the sites using an SSL cert that gave the 'untrusted' warning that self-signed certs give, someone else asked about buying one, and I merely pointed out a free option.

So, Christian, please refrain from criticizing someone when it is not only unnecessary but uncalled for.
