2011/10/12 William Mount <havermayer@gmail.com>:
Are there any plans to include an
email/calendar/Personal-Information-Manager style program in future
editions?

No.

Is it possible to bundle a pre-existing FOS program (like
Thunderbird)?

Thunderbird is okay, but it needs a bunch of addons to be functional.  It
needs an addon to minimize to the taskbar, another to have a calednar, etc.
A bit annoying, as these should already be part of it.
